Termite Treatment Bendigo

Found termites? Don’t spray them — and don’t disturb them. Treatment that works targets the colony at its source, using the termites’ own biology against them.

Three ways to take out a colony

The right method depends on the species, the construction and where the colony is working. That’s what the inspection determines.

Subfloor termite entry treated with chemical soil treatment in Bendigo
Chemical soil treatment

A treated zone in the soil around and beneath the home. Foraging termites contact it unknowingly and transfer the effect through the colony.

In-ground termite bait station at a Bendigo property
In-ground baiting

Stations intercept foraging termites at the perimeter; bait is carried back to the nest and the colony declines at the source.

Above-ground termite bait box on active workings in a Bendigo home
Above-ground bait

Applied directly to active workings inside the home — no drilling, no disturbance to the colony’s feeding runs.

What treatment looks like

From discovery to protection

1
Don’t disturb them

Leave the termites exactly as found — disturbed colonies retreat and become harder to treat. Call for advice first.

2
Inspection & species ID

Joel confirms the species, traces the activity and locates the pressure points during an AS 3660.2 termite inspection. The biology decides the method.

3
A written treatment plan

What will be done, why, and what it involves — in plain English, before any work starts.

4
Treatment day

Most treatments are low-disruption. You’ll know exactly what’s being applied and where.

5
Monitoring & annual inspections

Treatment is followed by monitoring, with annual AS 3660.2 inspections keeping protection current.

Why it works

The colony dies at the source

Killing the termites you can see achieves nothing — the colony simply reroutes. BPTS treatments use transfer effects and baiting so the termites themselves carry the treatment home.

Species first

Coptotermes acinaciformis, Heterotermes spp., Nasutitermes exitiosus and dampwood termites each respond differently — identification drives the plan.

Documented outcomes

Written treatment plans and certificates, with photographic before-and-after evidence.

Protection that stays

Follow-up monitoring and annual inspections keep your home protected after the colony is gone.

Termites or white ants? Same insect — ‘white ants’ is just the common Australian name.

FAQs

Termite treatment FAQs

I’ve found termites — what do I do right now?+

Don’t spray, don’t poke, don’t pull anything apart. Leave the area untouched and call 0467 857 177 for advice on the next step.

How do you choose the treatment method?+

By the species, the construction of your home, soil conditions and where the colony is working — confirmed by a termite inspection before anything is applied.

Will it eliminate the whole colony?+

That’s the goal of colony-targeted treatment: the effect transfers through the nest rather than just killing the workers you can see.

Is treatment safe for my family and pets?+

Products are APVMA-registered and applied to label by a licensed technician, in targeted zones rather than broad sprays.

What does treatment cost?+

It depends on the species, the extent of activity and your home’s construction — quoted after inspection, in writing. Call 0467 857 177 and Joel will talk you through it.

Can I just DIY it?+

Supermarket sprays repel and scatter termites, which usually makes professional treatment harder. Colony elimination needs the right product in the right place.
