Bendigo's Termite & Pest Management Specialists
Most pest control treats what you can see. BPTS is led by an accredited Field Biologist who identifies why pests are there — and solves the problem at its source, across Bendigo and Central Victoria.
Three ways we protect your property
Termite management, general pest control and commercial programs — the same accredited specialist and the same standards across all three.

Inspections, treatment, barriers, baiting and pre-construction protection — matched to the species present and built on AS 3660.

Photos from recent BPTS jobs across Bendigo and Central Victoria — termite work and general pest control alike.

Grounded in biology. That's why results last.
Joel is one of only around 60 accredited Field Biologists in Australia — insect biology, species identification and harbourage analysis applied to every job, from a single wasp nest to a full termite management program.
Why are the pests present? Food, moisture, harbourage, entry — fix the cause and the problem stays fixed.
A German cockroach, a redback and a Coptotermes colony demand completely different approaches. Identification comes first.
Long-term protection beats repeat call-outs. Every job ends with practical prevention advice for your property.
Clear findings, photographic evidence and honest recommendations — including when no treatment is needed at all.
Termites or white ants? Same insect — white ants is just the common Australian name. More on termite control in Bendigo →

What makes BPTS different from other pest control companies?+
The work is led by an accredited Field Biologist — one of roughly 60 in Australia. That means the species is identified first and the treatment is built around its biology, rather than the same spray being applied to every job. It also means you get told why the pest is there, not just that it has been sprayed.
Do you do general pest control as well as termite work?+
Yes — both sides of the business are equal. Ants, spiders, rodents, wasps, cockroaches, fleas and silverfish are handled with the same species-first approach as termites, at the colony and harbourage level. Start at Pest Control Bendigo for the full list.
How often should a Bendigo home be inspected for termites?+
AS 3660.2 recommends a competent inspection at least annually, and more often on higher-risk properties — bush boundaries, older timber homes on stumps, and anywhere with previous activity. Central Victoria carries genuine termite pressure year round, so an annual check is the baseline, not a precaution.
Which termite species turn up around Bendigo?+
Mostly Coptotermes acinaciformis, which does the majority of structural damage in Australia, along with Heterotermes species and Nasutitermes exitiosus. Dampwood termites show up in wet, decaying timber. Each behaves differently, which is exactly why identification comes before any treatment decision.
Are treatments safe around children and pets?+
Yes, when they are applied correctly. Products are used strictly to label by a licensed Victorian technician, baits sit inside locked stations, and Joel will explain what has been used, where, and what to do afterwards before he leaves the property.
Do you work with businesses as well as homes?+
Yes. Documented, audit-ready programs run for food businesses, aged care, childcare and hospitality right across Central Victoria, built around HACCP requirements. See Commercial & HACCP.
